Training Activity Details:

A GLAMorous week just wrapped in sunny Lecce, Italy! Five vibrant days exploring the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and sustainable hospitality… and wow, did this city deliver. Here’s what went down:
Day 1: Marathon at Camera di Commercio, Lecce
We kicked things off at the Chamber of Commerce with Valari Studio, diving into the essence of contemporary design and the world of sustainable glamping. Ideas flowed as we connected Lecce’s local identity with global visions of eco-friendly living.
Day 2: Nature & Industry – Design in Action
Time to get our hands dirty. We ventured out to visit factories and glamping sites, witnessing the transformation of raw materials into smart, sustainable solutions. A real-world look at how craftsmanship meets innovation.
Day 3: Orienteering – Visions and Territories
A pause to reflect and absorb. Through curated documentary screenings and an afternoon at Museo Sigismondo Castromediano, we explored how place, culture, and memory shape design thinking. Quiet moments for deep inspiration.
Day 4: Base Camp – From Idea to Project
This is where it all came together. Guided by research, collaboration and creativity, each team began shaping their concepts into fully fledged project proposals. The result? A celebration of Lecce’s craft traditions reimagined through the fresh eyes of the next generation of cultural managers.
Day 5: Sharing & Looking Ahead
We gathered at the CULTART Contact Point (CNA Lecce) to present our final ideas on sustainable glamping. Toasts were made, feedback exchanged, and certificates handed out. It was a bittersweet ending; however, it felt like the start of something bigger and got us questioning: where will this experience take us next?
