Training Activity Details:
Four amazing days full of connection, creativity, and cultural exploration in one of Europe’s most historically layered cities. Hosted across venues like the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts, Fantasy Non-Museum, Boris Hristov Cultural House, and the Ancient Theater of Plovdiv, the Cultart PRO Academy 2025 brought together artists and cultural managers from across Europe to reflect, learn and build new ideas.
Day 1:  We opened with a full day of knowledge exchange: talks on entrepreneurship, dance history, and funding models, alongside energisers and hands-on workshops. The first day ended with One Dance City, inviting the wider public into the experience through live performances and open dance.
Day 2: Through city walks and dance workshops, participants explored Plovdiv’s 20th-century architecture and artistic identity. A visit to the Fantasy Non-Museum of Plovdiv offered a playful but thoughtful take on how spaces can host contemporary art. The evening opened the iconic One Dance Festival, a true celebration of movement, place and participation.
Day 3: Workshops in cultural entrepreneurship and dramaturgy, as well as artistic showcases by One Dance City, offered insights into how creative spaces shape communities. The Floropopolis Festival, part of the Bulgarian Alphabet Day celebrations, linked heritage and contemporary practice in a shared public space, Plovdiv’s city garden.
Day 4: The final day brought focus. With mentoring support, teams developed case studies tackling real cultural challenges: from audience-building to funding models and educational tools. We wrapped up the programme with participants sharing testimonials, recorded against the backdrop of the Ancient Theater of Plovdiv, connecting ideas with place and legacy.
